This locomotive is a maneuverer that was also used for short-distance trains, when high power is not required for a long time, or on light rail branches. They belong to a series of locomotives: U5B, U6B, U8B, U10B and UM10B, and were built in the United States, during the 60s and 70s, by General Electric, using a Caterpillar diesel engine. After the dieselization process of the main lines, in the second half of the 1950s, the remaining steam locomotives were used as shunters, until the beginning of the 60s, when diesel shunters began to arrive.
