The first one, produced in GE-Campinas was responsible for 80 locomotives (3801 to 3880), of 180 tons. The second one had 90 locomotives (3901 to 3990), which 20 of them with 165t, (3901 to 3920) were imported from GE-USA and placed in Cachoeira Paulista (SP). For this reason, they were so called &#8220;Cachoeirinhas&#8221;. In Brazil they had only their trucks assembled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At RFFSA, the U23C were mainly directed to the freight transport, specially iron ore, but they were also used in the passenger transport like Vera Cruz (BH-RJ) and Santa Cruz (SP-RJ), connecting important cities such as Rio de Janeiro, S\u00e3o Paulo and Belo Horizonte<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nowadays, the U23C\u00b4s represent a significant share of MRS\u00b4s locomotives array.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.frateschi.com.br\/web\/locomotivas\/?lang=en\" target=\"_self\" role=\"button\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\tBACK<br \/>\n\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Products > Locomotives > U23C The U23C is a a General Electric locomotive equipped with a 2250HP engine.
